did anybody ask George Trosley's permission to use his art for the poster?

 

There is always a hater that has to chime in....This is an image that was taken from the internet and the internet is free to the public, besides no money was made off the image.....It was a "Free" event!!

the majority of artists on the hamb will disagree with you.

the right thing to do is ask the artist to use their stuff. at very least if you steal an image, don't cover up the artists signature.

you really hurt my feelings by uninviting me, i'm gonna go cry now.

 

id have to agree with ray on this thing! remember kirks thread about pics of rust??oldbobsign wanted one of the pics for the background of our HAMB banner! so i pm'd kirk and ask!!!and it was just pics of rust!
free or not, if an artist wanted to get in a tiff about it, it could sure make unwanted trouble for ya!
luckly for me, i will never have my art takin! i cant even draw flys!

 

O.K. I agree with the fact that the signature was covered up and it shouldn't have been but that wasn't our doing it was the doing of the printer...(Sorry Tros.) I never noticed that.

 

Most of the Stilettos Chikas will be there!!!
