Normally I'd say rip it apart and put a big ass motor in for all the world to see but there is a 37 or 38 around locally that's all together and it is really clean. Sometimes makes me wish my 39 was whole again, sometimes.
fenders fer sure. thoe beauty in those old trucks are in the fenders. you take those off and you lose a lot of the character. late thirties cars and trucks look much better with the fenders. if it was an early thirities id say take em off.
Im building a fenderless truck, but it came in pieces without any of those parts. If you have 'em, use 'em. Don't take apart an otherwise intact truck. There are too few roaming the world as it is.
Groovy... the rear fenders are jacked, as this truck is a refugee from a kansas farm and the ruts and ditches madated they got bobbed. Not sure if passenger car fenders can be made to work... or I could go fiberglass.... the fronts arent much better but they are there. I have already swapped in a slant six, as the flathead had been swapped for another flathead that was seized. I really like the look of the chopped and channeled fenderless trucks, but it is almost too complete to butcher.
Mopar trucks are not an every day ride, keep the fenders, I was told several years ago that the 35-36 passenger car front fenders are the same as the 37-38 truck...Might be worth looking into.... 36RRC
Fenders fenders fenders fenders fenders fenders.Oh did I mention fenders.Seriously these are cool trucks as is and everybody is pulling them apart and building them that.I think it would make a cool truck.
