Havin a hard time gettin any contact from these guys. Ordered some stuff for my kids in mid-November last year but have yet to see it.
Tried email and leaving a message but to no avail. Anyone know if they happen to be awol at the moment?

Hate posting this on here but someone might know someone...

  2. Anytime I have called out there I always got a real live human being to talk to and they were always very helpful. My wife has ordered several things from them and we never had any problems. Of course, we're a lot closer than you. Don't know why they would be AWOL........

  3. Rustydeuce, sounds like a broken record round here. Was only last Sunday a friend was moaning on about difficulty getting and sense - or even response - out of them. Fortunately we have options to subscribing. Remember, squeaky wheel gets the oil. Good luck with it.

You are not alone. If you order something that got backordered. You have to continue to ride them. They don't automatically send it out from my experience. I am still waiting for some slipcases.......

Guess ya can't ask much more than that. Thanks TRJ.
I await the postman with baited breath...

    BWAHAHA!!! :D:D:D

one statement about TRJ and customer service. . .

    IT DOES NOT EXSIST

i bid on and won a HAMB subscription auction (one year subscription) a couple years ago. . . got the first issue with NO problems, second issue i hadda email twice (got an "oops, our bad. shipping it as i type") then the same for not getting the third issue, for which i sent two or three emails but never got a reply to and had to call em. finnaly got THAT issue, just as the newest one was on the #$&^ store shelves!!!

i never did bother tracking down the fourth issue, i chalked it up to "what the fuck" and left it at that. it wasnt the money, that went to Ryan, and i'd have given him that reguardless. its the part that, in as much as the magazine (hard to call it one, but) ROCKS... the customer service/shipping department sucks dead goats. period.

i realy dont like getting it in the store, as it has the barcode on the cover, but at least i GET it, and the cover isnt mollested. now if i miss getting an issue, its my own fault

Man... I hate to hear this stuff... Let me get in contact with boys over there and see if I can help.

  10. they still owe me as well...apparently they are out of stock

  11. All this is why I stopped subbing from them years ago. The grief is not worth the free poster.

These days I get it direct "sub" from local distributor no problems at all. And as some of you realise we get this way before you guys (US) do. Even the local Borders has it early.

It's a pity because the publication itself is fantastic.

  12. ahhhhh yes..... RJ customer service.

RJ say they have addressed my issue re a missing book and it should be here shortly (likely next week). At this stage I'll give them the benefit of doubt.... but if it doesnt turn up as agreed then all bets are off and I'll sink the boot in. hard.

  13. Wow, this is surprising to me. I've ordered subs, back issues, slip covers, swag, etc all at different times and all came to me right away, packed nicely and no hassles what so ever.

  14. I chased up a package from TRJ for a "mate" because he was sick of calling them and complaining that he hadn't gotten his stuff....of course, it mighta helped if he told them he moved!

    IDIOT.

I ordered 2 subscriptions in November over the phone. One was a gift for my brother, one was a renewal for me. The guy in the subscription department knew a least a little about cars, because I mentioned the car on the tshirt I was ordering, and he made a knowledgeable comment. They were supposed to start with #34. They never arrived, but my credit card was billed. I finally called again a couple weeks ago. The same guy answered the phone (don't remember his name). He said they had shipped in Nov, but that he would reship them. They got here in about a week.

Same issue here. Paid for a sub two years ago never got a magazine. Never got a copy. Could never understand, said they never got it, even though it was on my charge card. Gave up, now buy them at bookstore.....

I was getting mine from an auto book specialist here in Brisbane since the beginning, and havent been able to get it since #32. Apparently the US distibutors have done a new deal with the newsagents here in Australia, and all the old arangements are out the window,so everyone that was getting it through their regular suppliers, all the sudden werent getting it and with no warning. It has pissed off a bunch of people.

  19. It's been seen in newsagents in Sydney for $19.95

  20. I think that issue has been sorted out. I spoke with Larry at Graffitti back in November at the Bendigo Swap Meet and he had been busily sorting out the mess. I'm not a TRJ devotee so it doesn't worry me, but I freakin' HATE the deals that get stitched up with newsagents over dealers who establish the market.

  21. My wife bought me a subscription for Christmas with plenty of time to spare and was bummed when no gift card arrived, still hasn't. Next issue has the Navarro roadster, can't wait!

  22. On a happy note.....

Kevin from RJ Customer Service was true to his word about sorting my long standing missing 1-4 book order and it arrived by airmail yesterday.

Lets all hope its a sign of things to come at RJ Customer Service that there is someone now giving a damn. well done.

Hey, Ryan... what (if anything) have you heard from the folks @ TRJ?

i gotta tell you Ryan, i'd personally LOVE to subscribe again if the service and shipping practices were to improve. . .

i wanna tell EVERYONE, i DO NOT have a problem with TJJ itself... its one of, if not the single best read out there, its the subscription handling/customer service that is in doubt and in need of definate improvement

It´s too bad! I also had some problems with a subscription. I ordered it, even got a letter from the customerservice, called them on the phone, gave them all the creditcard information again.... but nothing happend.:(
We are not that lucky, we can´t buy TRJ in a bookstore in germany.
    Maybe I should try again.

they can send me solicitations to "renew" or buy the latest "collectors edition fluxcapacitor gift set" but not the magazine

My wife bought me a subscription in Nov. for x-mas and I haven't seen an issue yet either. Maybe it's because it's a quarterly mag. I guess I will keep my fingers crossed.

I have been a member for about 3 or 4 years now. I would agree that it seems to take a while to get your first issue since it is a quarterly mag.

Be on the lookout, I just got issue 35 and it's effin' awesome!

While my past subscriptions have been a little slow comming they have all shown up. My girlfriend ordered my a renewal and a t-shirt in December for my b-day, and I still havent seen the shirt, despite a few calls.

The folks at TRJ have been made aware of this post and I was told they were going to jump on some of these issues. If I hear anything else, I'll update ya...

I can actually relate to this stuff... I think the folks at TRJ spend 99% of their resources on making the best damn magazine they can. Unfortunately, that leaves very little bandwidth to handle issues like these... I think they are working on it though.

If you won a hamb auction and you haven't gotten what you were promised, please pm me... I'll make damn sure you get your magazines even if it means I gotta buy them myself.
