does Radir make them? I know that they have a pretty decent selection of astros.

thanks for all the help trying to locate these but neither of those places had them. they did have the bigger white walls to go with them maybe a pic will help jog someones memory with the center cap logo.

I have been looking for a set of 16's and can't find them anywhere. I think they are only available up to a 15"

You mean these? I think they called 'em Stardust?

20x8 1/2...they were even making (or about to make) a 22!

When I got 'em, they were being made by a company called Centurion Wheel in Chino, CA...as I recall, they had taken over the old McLean wheel company. The pic you posted is a brochure that showed them with the optional bolt on spoke covers.

I have no idea if Centurion is still in business, but I believe the American Rallye folks that are HAMB'rs are the McLean family...don't know if there are any "politics" involved, but maybe thats a lead.

dollabill, that is a bitchin burb.. looks good on a rake with big and little rims.. Nothing beats a bitchin older truck or burb.. especially with a 67 nose on it..

    Boones...

Thanks...I agree, the early sheetmetal is definitely the best.

Funny thing...I bagged it, but the wheels are the same size!

It rode great 2 inches higher than that pic.

    Thanks again

I was interested in a set of those larger Astro-styled wheels, and went so far as to try to find the Centurion Wheel Co. They had advertisments in the back of R&C's for quite a while, then just stopped. They had a website, and it's been broken for a long time.

I think they up and disappeared.

I know Roadster makes the wire wheels that are on that site, so they make the astro type things too. That is the roadster eagle in the middle of them. We know the guys down there pretty well, maybe I can get them for you if you want them.

who cares about my opinion anyway, but the itch to add it here is too much....

if you take a classic, great wheel like an Astro and bling it big style-- then it becomes big style bling.

big style bling and traditional customs dont match, in my opinion-- especially with low profile tires. what are you looking to put these on? I think they'd be better fit for a modern era car.
