Got a car in at work with an Olds 455 motor in it. It's got an Edelbrock "Performer Olds 455" intake on it. While inspecting the venhicle, I noticed that there are gaps showing between the intake manifold and the heads on both sides. The red arrows are pointing to them. Is this normal for Olds big blocks? Is this the wrong intake, or the wrong gaskets or something else? Thanks for the info.

Also went out to Big Olds to check. Mine looks exactly like that as well. I took a couple of photos and will post later.

the recesses you see are nothing to be concerned about, just a small indent in the casting
