Had a 68 thirty years ago, but I sold it to buy some other shit wagon. I liked the 68 . So for my last fling I bought the 69. But ya just can't win today. The 69 insisted on being a 68. What ya going to do?? So I agreed to drop in 68 side markers with 68 tail lights. Paint, Interior, bucket seats, New brakes, exhaust, Torsion bars Weather stripping and called it a day. For Now . Slant 6 improvements to come. If you look real close at picture number eight You'll see a SUPER rare addition. This Valiant is ONE of THREE. When ordered new on the build sheet BOX 26 was checked . Want to really improve the slant 6 AND make it ONE of One ???? Make contact with some Aussies and try and import a 245 or 265 Hemi Six engine trans /combo They made a 4 barrel version called a "Hemi Pacer" It would make an interesting unusual project in the USA [Aussies never got the 2 door post variation] It will bolt in place of the 225 [you need to mod the RH mount on LHD K-members but simple easy to do] The stock low spec 2 barrel 265 made 200hp [the E49 made 302hp]
