The week started off with a single run to qualify and a backup run to set the record in V4F/GMR, simple, right?

Then we became greedy and reentered as a FMR fuel, you know nitro and all that stuff

Oh well, we will go looking for the lost #2 cylinder later this weekend.

Not sure if this is ok to add in here. I am trying to buy a Rocket 428 speed head for a banger build. The guy hasn't been making the heads but says if he gets 20 people he will take a $400 deposit to start a batch of heads. Would take about 4 months. $850 per head. Is anyone in here interested in one? I just got on the list as #12. I would say we need about 10-12 more people incase someone backs out. If you are interested, Please go to his website and email him to get on the list.

Charlie Yapp has been building those heads for a long time. We are running both a Lion head and a Rocket head here. Have you checked with Jim Brierley to see if he is casting or has any new heads?

Made a new hub nut for a Houk #4 wire wheel set last weekend. The original special hub nut is cast aluminum, and houses a hub mounted Veeder odometer unit, factory accessory for a Detroit Electric automobile. A little time on the lathe, and some twisting and turning in the new mill, just about DUN!

Thanks! The next project will also be wheel related… but much bigger! We’ll see how it goes…

Steel brake line works pretty well for hard fuel lines.

I use Nicop for fuel lines and cooler lines. It looks good and won't crack with vibration.
