You could have one of each...and since when does a 5W (190040175047) bring more than a 3W (320037432890)?...you know where...

Could a 'puter guru post the links? Thanks...

They can ask that kinda money all day long, I doubt anyone will bite. Even if someone will spend that money, people like to bid. I could see a bidding frenzy getting rediculousely high, but with a set price listing like that, I bet the seller very well knows that the sale will take place outside of ebay. Most liley he's using ebay as a classifieds, and starting high (really high!).

175k for one, 200+k for the other... People are insane today... On the other hand, if you ask a super high amount, you might just get a super high price... Still say people are insanely stupid on both counts though.

  9. I always wanted to be cool, now I can buy it. I'll just sell my OCC chopper and then look out" I'm cool". :D :D You can ask anything you want for anything and some one might buy it. A lot of people go to GG and have no idea how much anything cost. What I'd like to know is why it cost $365,000 to build?:)

To answer a question, If the 5 w is in alot better shape it would/should get more. Myself I would take any 32 I could afford. Too bad I can't afford. I have to settle for my 31. I like it though, and probably will keep it till I die.

  15. Whats up with the VIN on the 3W?

Would the VIN # 00000000000000 fly with the DMV?

  16. Larry....when I saw the title of this thread I thought you might be trying to sell your coupe ! :D

I think if I had that money, I'd rather buy a house, a shop, all the gear I want, and enough cool projects to last me a lifetime.

OK... so the 3-window was built 25 years ago and has a some magazine/builder history... got it.

But why the hell is that 5-window appraised at $240K? It's got a friggin' sunroof..!

I might be able to agree with the 3W price...your buying alot of "Big Names" and an previous owner who is famous? with that one.
The 5W is a joke...some one saw a guy with money falling out of his pockets coming who wanted a car built. That may be what he has invested in it, but my guess he'd be lucky to get $75k tops!

Thats all? I'll sell my house and live in it. HA HA HA. I personally don't like either of them. Way to modern looking. If I wanted that look I could spent 60,000 and buy a prowler.

  30. Me & Fat Hack are probably the only two here that would admit it but......

In a "time capsule, snapshot of 1984, admire it in a clean showroom, & only drive it occasionally so as to not mess it up" kinda way - I like the 3wd. It is a fine example of what was cutting-edge.

It isn't traditional at all & I'll never work my way down my list far enough to build something like it but I do like it for what it is - a fine example of the genre. It's not "confused" at all. It is what street rodding was striving to be in 1984.

I'd have to put a black grille insert back in it with solid black front & rear spreader bars, & black-bezeled & stood '32 taillights. It needs a set of those Champ wheels on it too.

I'd "restore" it & call it done.
