Such a classic pic…the packed stands on a So Cal evening..the nitro flames going from the zoomies…sensory overload….
The Funny Cars from "back in the day" were certainly more attractive than those mashed-up scrubbing-bubble-roofed funnys that race today. Personally, a 6.0 second pass would be more entertaining than a 3.5 (or whatever they run) pass like today. Of course my opinion is biased by me having a really mild 6.6 second, 102 MPH, 1/8 mile front engine dragster. It's still fun. Lynn
