Oh boy, this one's going to get me in trouble. I don't need help finding stuff!
Here, maybe this will make people stop posting.

Maybe the cage took up too much room and he decided to do it externally?

Inexpensive is all relative on how much money you have in your pocket for a toy....... or not.
Like the value or any car/ truck it's value is what the agreed value is that day between buyer and seller.
And everyone on here will have a different opinion.
The older it is the less buyers you have....every day, cause time marches on.
Every day is a good day.

Looks like that might be part of the frame/chassis. Thinking outside the box, but lacking in the style department. I’m thinking I’ve seen a Lotus 7 with a similar limited interior space, work around.

It was a car for sale I ran across yesterday. Definitely outside the box (and body;)), I completely understand the reasoning and can't fault the workmanship, but it just isn't a Bucket. Just like a few in the 70s and 80s that tried to incorporate lower center of gravity, independent suspension and added stuff to the body, it strays too far from the roots. I'd imagine it handles pretty 'different', too.

I kept the one pic just in case there was a good excuse to post over here in the WAMB, and this was it.

    The bucket was on FB
WARNING: You know what you are going to see! Enter at your own risk! I used the pic as a gag. This is not inexpensive!

I don't know if you're having a Van-tastic day or not but a short box 302 powered Econoline is pretty cool
Price is pretty fair too judging by what I've been watching these Vans go for for the last few years.
I just can't man up and buy another project.
I think the 9 or 10 or 11 or whatever I got for cars now would get pissed if I brought home another horse to the stable

Yeah, that's a reasonable price these days. I personally am trying to move the vans I've got.
Also, the V8 is kind of jammed in those. Oil filters are especially a mess. One place where the front Dist. is NOT as accessible. At least it looks fairly straight except RR and not rusty (but check the drip rail).

MY brother ran an X/F dragster in 1964 with a 194 ci Pontiac four banger and had a Buick hearse for the tow car, enclosed area for tools and two jump seats in the rear for extra seating. You can see it in the background, this picture is at MoKan Drag Strip, he was an Auto Tech student at Pittsburg at the time and ended up as an Auto Tech professor there.
