    outstanding photos
    Thanks for sharing.
And thanks for actually using the car in competition.
Sometimes cars as beautiful as yours end up as display pieces. Some of my favorite pics of your car are the ones in which it is coated with salt debris after being run.
    Keep it up.

  2. Mike, I saw you at the Nugget "pit area" a couple of times and once while you were teching a roadster. You were pretty involved at the moment, so I just watched from afar. You did a killer job with the car. Hopefully, I can meet up with you next year. Either way, I have enjoyed the journey you have taken us on. Your videos are top notch and engaging. Thank You!

In your "drivers" video, I had the same thought you did when you first made it on the salt. My first trip was in '13. We were scheming the particulars on the way home, too. I haven't gotten my shit together yet, but I have been crewing since then.

How did the lack of rear suspension work out on the rough surface near starting line?

Got to see this beauty in its natural environment, ElMo! Even got to help push it to the line up to run. Such a nice, well constructed Hot Rod! It’s like watching a toddler take its first steps, where’s that guy going to go someday?!?!

Mighty short driver in the push off photo and in all the years I’ve made time runs there since 1975 I’ve never seen that mountain!

That is a serious road trip from his place to El Mirage. He doesn't post much on FB either but he did post that he was getting ready to load the car in the trailer on Monday.
One route you go over the Rockies and the other you run through the heat and weather in the mid west will be a determining factor I'd have to think. Screenshot (194).png Screenshot (195).png

Rumor has it he’s on the lakebed. With the 20 mph ElMo HP he should do pretty good this weekend!

He was out early playing in the dirt this morning. Word is that a number of racers are rolling in and getting their pits set up.

This was the photo he posted at sunrise this morning. CFC in the dirt.jpg

Take the wind screen off ( it will help some) or install a naca duct behind the firewall on the top to pressurize inside the body.
It proves you don’t have the belly pan sealed good enough. Fine for Bonneville and pavement but not the surface at El Mirage…
The air going over the wind screen acts like a venturi sucking the fine alkalye dust from your front tires thru any minut gap or hole under the car…

Knowledge comes from many years of running there…..
