Hot Rods PORKSHOP'S WILLYS PU.. build thread.. (x sedan)

Discussion in 'The Hokey Ass Message Board' started by Kiwi Kev, Aug 15, 2016.

  1. My part is all done, John will pick it up this weekend and it will be fun to see what he does with it. It is a solid roller but plenty of frame work and body work yet to do.

Truck is extremely cool, glad you could save it.

I really like the rear fenders, we're they specifically built for a willys?

  13. Off to Fresno she goes. I got this 37 sedan from John in the deal. Since I will be putting the Nasty Habit coupe up for sale soon I feel like I could replace it one day by converting the sedan to a coupe. Yeah, right! #87 on my list of projects.
I am looking forward to following John's progress on the PU. I have a good feeling about the trucks future.

    Kev,
how about building a T. J. Richards style five window coupe. They used the sedan front doors so that part would be a little easier, not that it appears to matter to you mate! :)

Kev knows what I am talking about but for those who don't:

Looks so familiar especially with the same grill treatment, exciting times eh. Good luck with the rest of the build.

  28. I thought I would add this picture here. This is the sedan I got from John seen earlier in this thread. I had an empty spot in my garage, the sedan had been sitting outside for several years so I cut the back off, moved it inside and mocked it up like this. Maybe one day I will build it into a race truck but it will probably sit like this for a long time while I build my 34 coupe. ECC9C65A-B522-48E6-8559-EB8B0F0EF315.jpeg
