We typically don't show ads to users that are logged on. However, we are going to show ads in this off topic forum - one on the top of the forum page and one after the third post in each thread. The interesting part is what we plan to do with that revenue... More later.
Bunny's missing the pancake. Not to mention the dbl-pancake... Marcus... Speaking of ads, could there be a section for OT/Later Stuff For Sale? I might have a few things... Thanks for considering it. Marcus...
If there's enough revenue to make a difference, I'm gonna figure out a way to put it towards the younger generation and traditional hot rodding. Maybe sponsoring a young builder or...
That would be outstanding, if I was a youngster and had a team of HAMBers to mentor me WOW so cool. Dan PS Yeh I think we can put up with ads I sure like your thinking!
I went as far as to message you. Thought I was loosing it. Still may be. Then I saw this post. Sounds like a great idea.....
Thanks for the post Ryan. I was wondering why I only saw the ads in this forum. Looking forward to what the revenue can do for someone.
I keep seeing an ad for a fuel filter I was looking for earlier this week. So, it seems to be somewhat tracking me…
It’s funny, I’ve ignored ads for so long I seldom notice them unless they’re the kind that lock up a page and won’t let you do anything until you close them, if you can.
I notice them,,,especially when they shift the page down while you are reading it . Or,, Shift it up,,,or sideways,,,, or anything .
I love this idea. At least we will be suffering through the ads for a very important cause. I agree too many ads. Nothing is more aggravating than waiting for an ad to load so you can read a post. I stopped using the weather channel app years ago because of that very thing.
My little board is paid for by ads. I don’t have any control over what or how many there are, but so far it’s only been in the header and footer. I seldom see them, or maybe I ignore them.
Have to click on the ad Figured blue pills, aspricream, corrective lenses, support socks and things like that would be the focus for the ads.
Thank you Cob for bringing this up ,,,,,,it’s really frustrating to not be able to get your bearings while trying to read a thread ! Tommy
