37y1.jpg 37y5.jpg 37y4.jpg 37y3.jpg 37y2.jpg 37y.jpg My new project. Ford 37y 2dr. Gibbon body (#2). Coilover 4link frt and coilover 4 link rear aftermarket frame. Pinto/Capri 20.l Ford 4cyl. Side draft 40dcoe Webers, intake to match, headers, Racer Walsh stage 2 cam. The interior looks like it has been pulled and adapted from a 1970's something Pinto/Capri donor car. Older Ron Francis wiring. I believe this was an early to mid 80"s build as I found one sticker on the back of the early digital dash.
I really don't have much info to it's past life. I do know the guy I bought it from had it for 3yrs and that he got it from a guy that supposedly had it sitting in his garage for 27yrs.
Anyway, here are some pics deciding to take it, then loading it up to go home.
By the way, if anyone knows any thing about this ride let me know.
    Thanks.

Kewl but you need to have it moved over to the Off Topic forum so it isn't deleted. I will ask @Moriarity to assist you. Oh, and welcome man! Look forward to seeing more on the car.

No worries. We just added the other forum and getting used to it. I'm glad it there for just this type of thing. We are all in this thing together. What are your plans for it? Any changes or leave it as is and drive the hell out of it?

Planning on driving it. My wife wanted a smaller little hot rod to drive, I wanted another hot rod project to keep busy and then drive together (dog included). Basically a cool little knock around car with some power and decent gas mileage.
I have pulled the engine apart and called Racer Walsh....bought Crower rods (5.0), Wiseco pistons (.030), Racer Walsh stage 2 cam (285 adv. solid), followers, springs, retainers, gaskets..etc..
    Replaced the radiator and hoses.
Went through the carbs. I'll sync them once running.
Replaced rear coilovers with correct coilovers/springs (QA1) Did the same with the frt's.
Once I get the engine back together and broke in, time for it's rough maiden to see what I got. Clean the thing up real good, then take it from there

Also installed the Holley reg. and braided lines/fittings. Set the pressure to 2.5#'s.
edit, forgot I also remove the old Mallory mech distributor, cleaned it's gut's inside, reinstalled.

  7. So this 37y is a model of 1934 ford- maybe the smaller european version?

    The opposite ....
The 33-34 Fords were modelled off the British Ford Y [32-37]

I do find it funny that the state it was registered in where I bought it called it an Anglia. The state I register it in calls it an Anglia too. Probably no column for model y in both state's books and they just picked "Anglia" and called it good.
