    Robert Culp always plays the arrogant crooked jerk in every role and he is a natural at it. Great in this movie.

    When stealing the tires off the 442 at the Drive-In have you ever noticed the big guy looks like he got dumped out of the pickup when it takes off? I don't think it was planned either.

    Oddly enough I watched this movie on TV in the 90's late at night and it was dubbed in French. I loved the movie and thought it was odd because in France car movies are not popular. I can think of only one other hot rod movie that made it to the TV and it was French so for this one to go through the process of dubbing it...

  8. Friend just picked up an nice Red 442…I asked him where he was gonna put the Munn decals last night…

    Had to go home and watch the movie..funny in 1979 you could still find “oldies” on the radio dial…not today unless ya got satellite radio or pumping it through Bluetooth..

    I have not seen this movie until today. I watched the whole film. It was a fun movie to watch! Lots of cool cars, great music and a fun plot !

    Bringing this back up, watched last night on YouTube.

    Saw it on the Friday Movie of the week back in 79. 13-year-old kid....man was I gone.

    premiered on 5/25/1979 45 years ago Sat. that's the difference between 1979 and 1934!
