Black or white.

Hey guys,

The '33 goes into the paint booth tomorrow. What do you think, solid black, or black with a white firewall. I'm torn between the two.

I'd vote for solid black. Let the engine be the center of focus.

Decisions decisions...

If you are running white steelies, paint the firewhall white. Otherwise black. IMHO. I know it will be cool either way.

 

I guess I will be the dissenting opinion here. I say white firewall with some pinstripes. Looks to me like an early 60's era from the pics I remember.

White firewalls are the ginchiest until they become the grungiest. Still like 'em though. White-wall it. Firewall that is.

 

Depends if your into cleaning it. White firewalls look awful if they're not kept clean.

Cream, off-white, something other than a bold white.

Although.......

Nothing wrong with a gloss black firewall either...... I can't see you loosing whichever way you go.

Depending on your engine choice/arrangement, especially if it is detailed to the max, then I'd personally go Gloss black.

I'f its a 'regular' small block, then I'd go go 'ivory' to give the engine bay some 'character'....

Ivory or offwhite would look great, but thats just my opinion.

 

I LIKE THE BLACK WITH SOME LINES PULLED ON IT 50'S STYLE OR IF WHITE IS A DEAL USE FORD WHITE (WIMBLEDON I THINK )

 

If that is the car your putting that motor in your little picture under your name, it really won't matter what color the firewall is, no one will be looking at the firewall. Paint it body color.
