Lets see, winter, oh yea. thats the time of year I won't have to have the airconditioning running, car shows coming up, working with all the windows and doors open, and I'll probably have to wear a light jacket in the morning. Sorry to gloat!

well I am hoping to get the floor pans replaced in the 53. Finish up the body work and get some paint on it. Then new rings in the 235 and hopefully if the custom gods allow I will get the fenton dual carb and exhaust on it along with the lake pipes. Then start on the interior. The winters aren't really that bad around here, hell we have car shows that run up into November. yeah it gets cold but not real cold until January and Feburary, and it maybe snowed one time last year and it didn't stick to anything. We crusie year round here!

I'd like to put a 6-71 on. Realistically, I need new shocks and some better springs for up front.

Got a load of stuff coming in from Chassis Engineering, so the sedan will receive new disc brakes up front and a Nissan booster/Volvo master cylinder combo. Fix the rust in the floor and trunk area. Finish the interior. New piston rings perhaps. With my pace that's more than enough for a winter.

  14. Get fat and stay warm:D Then maybe work on building some flush cruiser skirts for the Cad

Depends on which way the wind blows From Germany 0c to +10c but if it blows in from the east..... it can drop to -40c last year. We have a forced air heat in the shop. When restoring the place we spec'd in lottsa insulation roof and slab. The building is pretty tight. Last year it WAS cold! I think the average cost to US$150 per month. Most folks here use hot water rads.... costs more and is basically hard to tune. So it's always too cold or too hot.
Or system you open a door it fires up and blows hard till temps back up.

Best part is you can sit on the concrete floor and not get cold. It's that good!
The floor is warmer than my So Cal shop.... my old bones hates cold floors!

I have to drain all the cooling systems just in case the power goes off. Everything is Natural gas BUT WITHOUT ELECTRIC CONTROL NADDA!!

  17. We don't got no stinkin winter here and don't want none either. Winter? That's where it gets down to abour 75 in the shade right?

  18. We have all four seasons in Kansas.

Glass side windows and a blower on the hemi.

Finish insulating the A, get the new headers put on and exhaust fitted up to them, fix the oil leak (new rear main seal), put in a rear seat, tuck & roll interior and get her pinstriped. Should be like a brand new baby in the Spring! Gonna be an expensive Winter season though.

I made a folding top for my 30 out of thin wall conduit(Lowes) and stainless boat top hardware(eBay). It was easy and worked good.
