So... i have an old tunnel ram that has carb bolt pattern to bolt the carbs on sidways, but i need to bolt them inline. I see that edelbrock makes 1/2 inch adapters but after some searching, turns out they are on major back order. So does anyone else make something similar? Also would it be possible to redrill the intake? I sed a gasket to eye ball and the holes would be very close if not touching.

Side saddle is more user / service friendly, If @ least a 3/16 -1/4 inch of materiel you could re drill& tap bolt pattern
    or make adaptors from 3/16 - 1/4
aluminum /steel plate to make inline & use tapper head bolts .
Bolt torque for 1/4 is low around 10ish foot pds B2752A75-2A9C-40A9-BA62-EFB74459DCC9.png

My TR1X is only drilled for inline carb set up ,but it has enough meat to be drilled and tapped for sideways carbs. but take a look at the Offy adapters.

  6. He probably has a TR1Y that takes a sideways carb and also ask the same question 3 yrs ago, thread was shut down, not sure how eager he is to get things moving.

Yes will fit front to rear. I also have linkage that will work well. I will have to check out offy. Im nevous about redrilling because i think it would be tough to drill it square to the flange in my drill press. I took it to my favorite local machine shop (engine machine shop) they kinda said the same thing.

Tunnel rams on the street are thought of here as a 1970's thing.

This thread will probably get shut down, too.

  11. They were actually introduced in the 60's.
I think a moderator has a hard on for them and that's why they get shut down, but all hei, 700r4, car builds with efi get a free pass.
It's a technical question not a protest about the lifestyle.

EFI never gets a pass here, ever. And there were No tunnel rams in 1965. earliest production tunnel rams were 1968.
