Technical zephyr gears 25 tooth

    hello fellas, could someone please tell me. What year of zephyr, had the 25 tooth transmission gears. and is the 25 tooth gear cluster the best? Thanks

    Fairly sure that the 25 tooth cluster gear was introduced for 1942 LZ transmissions. I don’t have details on how long they continued to offer that gearset in LZ vehicle production, but the 26 tooth set was definitely the most common. The 25 tooth version must be matched up with the 19 tooth main drive gear.

    Old magazines kick ass... the most reliable info available.... surely everyone here has a library, don't they? I know a few "older guys" who are trying to sell off their magazine collections and they are having a tough time finding interest. kinda sad....
