I'm surprised you didn't pick this one... being a Hawaii car. https://kustomrama.com/wiki/Harry_Keiichi_Nishiyama's_1939_Ford
another great one with what looks like a chevy grille.... https://kustomrama.com/wiki/File:Nicholas-schlauch-1939-ford-2.jpg
I've featured this car before. Love it. I've always loved this car (proportions are perfect), but think I would like it even more with a stock grille.
Looks like a 40 Buick grille to me, which is similar to Chevy. In regards to the car in the post: I dig the back window in the soft top, you don't see that treatment very often
Great choices here. Wasn't familiar with the Lellis car, it's a beauty. Although it's a newer build, how might Pete Chapouris' purple, flamed '39 Ford convertible fit in here? (Image lifted from an unknown post elsewhere on the H.A.M.B.)
I remember seeing this on Hemmings a while back and being very intrigued. Here is the link. Im surprised its still active. Hemmings Find of the Day - 1939 Ford Model 18 | Hemmings
I really like channelled/sectioned '38-'40 Fords, Doug Rice coupe is just killer. I always preferred Jerry Moffatt convertible over Art Lellis convert, wish Lellis Ford would be restored to its '48 HRM version. Doug & Janet Rice in 1954
