Technical Flames, thumbs up or thumbs down?

Ii like the right flames on the right car but I think I would get tired of them pretty quick. I know removing them can be a pain, I’ve seen painters have the flame line come through new paint. My experience has been to strip all topcoat and start over.

 

I like flames on the right car. I liked it better when flames were uncommon. There are at least 5 flamed mailboxes in my neighborhood.

 

I like flames on the right car, but I don't like when the flames take over and spread all the way over the car! I guess I would say I like the flames that were done when they were first done not going off the hood or not onto the doors. I think flames are one of the things where less is more and not overpower the whole car, they should add to the look not become the focal point!

 

I like them on my car.

 

I am not a fan of the genre but as it is with most topics, there is good to be had on occasion.
I like the way this Buick starts with a pearly, translucent white, classy and fits the custom touches and interior.
I think whoever painted and polished it deserves a trophy and I am equally sure he/she/it got paid well.
Does this make me a convert? No. However, like an open-minded agnostic at mass, I will return to see more.

 

When I was 10 (1955) we were visiting my uncle in Long Beach. Somewhere along one of those long streets lined with palm trees a flamed black '40 sedan was behind us for several blocks. I've never been the same.
