I think it's a Pro Car. I had one maybe 25 years ago. First one I ever saw was on a really trick chopped red 34 3 window from CA belonging to Billy Vintner that made the rounds in the various rod rags. Owner moved to Prescott and I heard he sold the car Parts of mine are laying in my storage shed at the farm but I could never find it all.

  6. Isn't a dummy quick-change kinda like stuffing a roll of quarters in your pants pocket before you hit the disco?!:D

I may be I the minority but I love fake stuff. If you can fool people with it, that is great.

  11. I owned several glass cars, I enjoyed them all they were not real but they were real fun, if you want to use the fake quick change go for it, it's your car and if you like it that's all that matters. HRP

  12. Funny that people say it’s somehow wrong to use things that are fake. How many people have cars they don’t drive?

I like the look on the right car, if it floats your boat then do it, haters be damned!

I guess we all have to make our own choices, but I think if you don't like this stuff then why worry if someone else does? Guys sure get worked up about other people's taste in car parts.

I put 2 1bbls on my stock 6cyl & everybody loved it. I put 2 AFBs on a stock 307 & everybody thought it was the fastest thing in town. Seriously considered wheelie bars on that pig too, but was too cheap to buy them. They were both probably slower w/ all those carbs on it, but I didn't care. I also have a 6X2 for the Nailhead I'm gathering parts for, & a 4X2 on the 327 going in my truck. Visual HP works fine for me. Put the faux QC on don't listen to the keyboard cowboys.

These must be good as the price has doubled in 15 years! Amazed at the number of knowledgeable HAMB’ers that think this is real.

I have used lots of fake stuff on my builds. That includes fake DOHC head, fake tri power, fake pressure pump, and yes a fake quickie I whittled out of a junk Winters and grafted on to a nine incher. Sometimes there are valid reasons for getting "the look" without the associated pitfalls and costs of the real deal.

I have a question about the first quickchange. It looks like you would need a centered pinion so what rear axle assemblies would work with it?

Fake cover was designed for the pinion offset on a 9 inch. You need a centered housing.
