I believe I have a modified Frontenac water pump. Does anyone have literature or parts for one of these? I know Dan has reproduced propellors, but I need the whole works!

My Buddy in Australia has finally assembled a single stick Fronty with this "Frontenac" radiator using period scorrect parts and an original 1920's very rusted wedge tail body. The body has been hot riveted together using a 3 x 6 foot "Firezone" enamel sign turned inside out that can be seen in the following photos.

The Gas cap is an original taken off a DO Fronty racer from 1926. He had to make the filler for it. Here is an add for one from a Fronty Catalogue.

That Frontenac project turned out great! Looks like he used a Franklin steering column, all the correct period parts. I'd rather see a car made out of parts than parts scattered around in different collections. Bob

@Phil Moore I'd love to see that car, does he take it out much? Do you know which end of the country is he in?

Yes Bob, that is correct, Franklin Steering box, 1912 Overland steering wheel, Winfield N carburettor, Hartford Friction shock absorbers, original header pipe and period original gauges.

It is assembled and not going. He lives in south Queensland if that is not far from you?

I used to live there & was there recently helping my dad move. 1000 + miles from here.
So not likely to get there anytime soon....
    It's a thing of beauty.

  10. Wow, that is truly fascinating!! Thank you for all the photos!

Do you know if I could pick his brain about these old Fronty pumps? I recently received an impeller, but I'm unsure of what I should do next as far as parts.

MTFCA forum would definitely be the best place to find parts. Someone is making new water rails (see discussion on that site). Side drive plates are around. looks like one of the threads is broken off the pump where the brass packing nut screws on. Good luck!
