found this on ebay and thought someone on here might be able to save that '34 body in there...it's cheap, but you'll have to work for it. look and see what i mean...
Well someone must have know what the doors & roof were worth because they ended the auction early. Those were not 34 dorrs but the earlier 33's. so somehow she must have turned into a 63 olds trying to maintain her you=NOT! This kinda reminds of the movie The Fly!!!!!!
Somebody needed to crush it and but it out of its misery. Hopefully the doors went to someone's project......
C'mon, that body is a pair of rear quarters and a trunklid away from being a '33 3W coupe again, plus you get a 394 and some other pieces to sell off of it. It's way fixable yet. I wonder what it sold for, someone must have emailed him and threw a nice offer at him that they took. I wonder how much of the rear quarters of the '33 are in there.
someone out there had the same idea... auction ended early and is no longer for sale. ive been seeing 3 window doors going for +/= $2000.00 a piece, 3w roof tops $2-3000.00
When I saw the thread "what would you do if your car was this ugly" I expected to see photos of this rolling abortion. If I'd had it I would have cut the early Ford tin out of it and sold that alone, if for no other reason than so I didn't have to admit I owned a car that looked like that.
Hey, '34 doors had a weird piece of metal, a kinda vertical metal wind wing to the rear of the window opening?, '33s jus' had a standard window reveal shape to the window frame. Swankey Devils C.C.
I had the HIGH bid on that before they pulled the auction. No hard feelings, did a fellow HAMBer get it?
That strip of metal he refers to is part of the vent window feature- it rolled straight BACK about 3/4" then down,OPENING A SLIT AT FRONT serving like a vent window......
Looking at that gives me the same feeling as when I watch some wallet take a complete desirable car, throw away all the cool stuff and stuff it with all the modern stuff. I’m going to go puke now…
