Nah, Flash just shoved it into overdrive on his way to do battle with Ming the Merciless. Special effects by Ed Keyes and the electrical effects by Norman Dewes, neither of whom got credit in the 1936 film. At the age of 7, both Vicky Portman and I would take large sheets of cardboard and lots of finger paint and put dials, gauges and switches all over them. Underneath the Portman's dining room table, she and I would zoom off to Mars and Venus at the speed of light, blasting any enemies who got in our way. Always wanted to go to space and never did think I belonged here.
Same with me. My little brother and I watched lost in space. We made the Jupiter 2 out of mom's pie pans, and the robot from cardboard boxes and two clear plastic candy dishes. I too dreamed of going to space some day too, and owning a flying car.
Am I the only HAMB'er that likes 50's - 60's monsters, and space, stuff ? Snap some pictures. Thanks ?
Don't think Robbie the Robot is nearly as much fun as you're thinking... "Danger, Will Robinson, Danger!.." . Marcus...
