From the B-Pillar forward kinda look's like a 33/34 Ford 5 window. From the B-Pillar back I dunno WTF happened...:confused::confused:

Are those door handles at the front of the doors?
Swage line seems to continue all the way through too.

One of the mid price cars in the mid 30s had a Silver Arrow inspired coupe, Studebaker maybe? Body looks modified to be sure but that was my 1st impression. Can't google an example but have a book at my shop I can look up. It is familiar.

Quite probably but wonder what cars were melded together for it. From the one grainy 100ft away pic it looks well put together ;)

  19. The back 1/4 window and roof remind me of a Lincoln

it even looks similar to some European Fords but the style line is different.

    That’s a odd one

Suicide doors; hinges at the rear edge. strap around A pillar and window frame. Almost looks like a GMC six in it but can't be sure. Heavy frame from the image; not a Ford frame. No Volkswagen sheet metal on it.

I'm thinking the same thing. '34-36 Chrysler/DeSoto Airflow.

    Suicide doors. Not the Airflow.

  26. It's a little high in the center but it looks like they just chopped and layed back the roof on a '34 Ford Tudor sedan.

First off, I think its a dirt track, looks like the back straight in the background., a safety fence, and maybe even a pit area.

2nd, I think its a way newer picture then you guys think. Some of the cars in the background (especially the car above the grill/front bumper area, with a number on the door) which I think may be the pit area has much more modern cars in it. I'm guessing the 1970s.

3rd, I think the car has a cut up body. Could be the back 1/2 of the Lincoln body pictured earlier, but cut off between the two doors. The transition between the roof and the windshield seems pretty abrupt, like the windshield area was added. The door does not match the car, the top window frame is nowhere near matching the roof line, and the front edge doesn't match anything, and the cowl/firewall area looks to be pretty long for most cars of the era the body appears to be from. I suspect the frame is probably a truck frame, to support the massive front bumper.
Looks like he's moving pretty good. Wish there was a better picture of it!

All bets are off on a circle track car. Front half could be 33-34 Ford. Rear could be dozens of different “aero” sedans. Might have been rebuilt several times in between those two photos. Lots of custom bodywork fit into the rules. Years ago, I did a post on early circle trackers. It’s fun to see how the “modifieds” evolved.
