I bought a nice 1962 Futura two door once with a "engine knock", turned out to be a broken flexplate (170 w/ a Fordo)

This really is quite the find. Awesome cruiser, extra parts with original FoMoCo wrappings, and that red/white interior; take good care of her.

    Cool!

Is there a back story on it? Like they were original owners, maybe passed down to them, etc?

I know if I was alive when my truck was sold, it would parked out front with the keys in it and I’d be no where around;)

Yes, here is a letter from the guy I bought the Falcon from. I believe he's owned it since 2007. He had it in Chicago and moved it recently to Portland, Oregon where I purchased it.

Added some side skirts and splash pans! The splash pans are well used! I have a NOS set that I’m saving. I’m trying to find all of the options you could have for this wagon.

And yes! I added the Cadillac bullet tail lights. I had an extra set of tail lights and the bullets fit perfectly! I like it! The original tail lights are tucked away! I found the surfboard in California on a recent trip.

Wow, never seen the console used with the bench seat. That is one sweet car that has been babied!

Identical to my best friend's Falcon from high school. We graduated in 1970, so it wasn't "old" for a high school in the 60s, but it was his mom's car first.
Yours looks better than his did when it was less than 10 years old.
Be careful, though. The black paint with woodie sides meant we were spotted everywhere. No getting away with being in the wrong neighborhood, and it was a tough car to skip school in, everybody knew Paul's woodie.
    We skipped regularly anyway.
Smoked a lot of pot in Paul's Falcon. Drank a lot of beer in it, too.
    Thanks for the memories.
    Cool car.

BTW, you can drive a 62 Falcon woodie wagon offroad, places where Jeeps fear.
I don't remember breaking anything on Paul's car.
We called it the Timex, cause it was.
    Not much on horsepower, though.

  19. What are we trying to make here?
You'll have that thing weighing as much as a Country Squire before you're through;)

I don't think there's anybody on here that wouldn't have bought that. Great car. Good on you.

Looks like someone did the 14" wheel change already?
Those wire heelcovers are mustang stuff, right?
He gave you the delixe full 1962 only wheelcovers in the pile of parts but those are for the 13". Too bad - they look great on the 1962s.

  26. Is there a big surf scene in Tacoma? HRP
