They still make the 90 degree boots, so somebody must make the 90 degree plugs.

In for good, I hope. Relocated the generator, now exhaust, fan, radiator, etc. CEAEAFD1-2678-4F98-B1F9-D9E8C19669A2.jpeg 26552A7C-36A7-4486-A2A9-4011332958FD.jpeg

Fits like a glove. Raised the water pump 4”, and used a 6 cyl. pump. Now some exhaust work, and minor wiring. Not sure if you got your spark plug thing figured out. We used to call these peanut plugs, there are a few folks that make them.

Nice work on a fantastic little car. I don't even mind that you are butchering it with one of them new fangled overhead valve things. You darn hotrodders!!!!

@alfin32 can you elaborate on how one raises a water pump up 4 inches on a sbc?

Yes, Zip’s makes a street rod water pump riser kit that’s available from Speedway. Eli got it and “de-zippered” it, but cutting off all the not appendages, and painting it to match the block. The a/c mount was perfect for the generator bracket, and an over the counter Mustang water bypass hose fit like a glove, and the fan is centered in the radiator. I can’t get the pics to load from my phone, so I’ll send them later.

Sounds like a slick set up and thanks for replying. Can't wait to see it in person. I'll see you this season, Ron

This is how it looked before Eli modified it. EA1EAB6F-903F-4D07-BA3D-F1AEDC4E2725.jpeg 61B9141A-CCC3-4E1A-BB32-E910CD6E35B8.jpeg 2C468028-EC56-4F60-B17F-FF1B84127CA9.jpeg B296CEFB-576A-4C75-9E78-358AE9CFC14B.jpeg

Try using some Gibb’s oil and lots of soft rags in the engine compartment. Will clean and preserve the patina!
Awesome Hot Rod you’re putting together, ALFIN32!

I'd call it done. Exactly how I would have done it! I'm not familiar with the Zips riser, but have used the , now discontinued, Snow White riser. Does the Zip's unit have the third hole on the passenger side for the bypass hole in the block. One of the members here on the HAMB found a relief valve to use with the riser to eliminate an air lock. Your '33 is a beautiful survivor and will gather much more attention than one of the overly restored or 1-800 street rod creations. Great job. Ron

Anyway you could share brand and part number for bypass hose?
My local parts store's employees are helpless!!
I have spent a butt load of time looking and have come up empty handed. Tried to get them to let me look at hoses and was unsuccessful.
    Thanks

That's it, Gates 18701, on Amazon for less than $8.
    I believe it's from a 5.0 Mustang.
    Good Luck!
