When did 15" torque thrusts become large diameter modern wheels?

I had TWO posts deleted in the "blue cars, any out there?" thread, for the reason "large diameter modern wheels are off topic".
BUT, the wheels on the 54 Chevy I posted are 15" torque thrusts and are exactly the same size TT wheels on a sharp Model A coupe in the post just before my deleted post....as well as some others sprinkled throughout the thread.
I'm not trying to be difficult....but, I don't get it!
Here's my deleted pic and the one still up. Can a moderator please explain the inconsistency?

Ah Hah! I was wondering who the blind moderator was. Ha, ha.
No, those are actually 15's on there.
No worries, you're still a top notch guy in my book!

  7. Hell, the moderators are human, they make a mistake every now and then. But when they do, they usually admit it and correct the issue. Personally, I can't stand to look at the D spoke American racing wheels, they look too new to me. But everybody seems to love them, because every other car out there has the same damn wheels! Lmao!

you and me both, I hate the new torque thrust 2's they are in no way shape or form a wheel that resembles the wheels from the era.....

I gotta agree, that's why I went with the TTO's.

One of my pics got axed by Moriarity last year of a red Skyliner with Cragars on it. While from a distance they looked huge, up close you could see the tiny sidewall tires it had on it, kind of like what the lowrider guys run. Not super low profile, just small tires ,I guess for fender clearance. I didn't question his judgement; they did look like oversize wheels from a distance with those tiny tires.

I fuck up on a daily basis...

At the end of the day, if you use the HAMB... you are subject to being fucked over by one of my or the other moderator's fuck ups. If that's an issue, you might wanna rethink why you are here.

  12. Hey @Moriarity , I hope you realize that what I said was a joke, going along with the many conversations we have had. Didn't intend to piss anybody off.

Not Lloyd's fault. Not Mark's fault. All my fault. I'm a defensive asshole.

    Sorry fellas.
