A few years ago this fall I picked up a gmc lcf from a family friend who had terminal cancer. He wanted it to go to someone who would do something with it. I didn’t need another project but being it was a five window I took it in. I threw it on the web trying to sell it but didn’t get any firm offers so I thought I would throw another iron in the fire and get neck deep in car builds. I bought a 2004 Chevy regular cab long box 4x4 to use as a donor chassis since it had a 5.3 ls. At this point I’ll probably just throw a flatbed on it until I find something better for the back half. 96D7D1F9-3AD8-4986-B776-43634674A41D.jpeg F3A89C26-14C4-44A2-9AE5-2AFF6E3EB150.jpeg 8F5B0846-126F-4E47-84BD-B36A6A0DC8FA.jpeg 56A52DDE-859D-4193-A8A0-98D8A46CB3D0.jpeg FC3B90B9-1A85-418C-9B65-AC682F168995.jpeg

That’s going to be great. After you’ve removed everything off the pickup frame set that 1/2 cab over on it with some blocks. Center the tires in the fender opening and snap a photo for us. A 1 ton or 3/4 may have been a better choice but I always go with what I have..

Good project but don't mention the motor again. :)

The last photo is the truck already on the new chassis. Really no difference in a 3/4 ton to a 1/2 ton other than springs. Building it so my 17 year old daughter can jump in it and pretty much be driving a 04 Chevy truck.

That’s why the title say not a H.A.M.B. friendly build.

Shorten the frame and put an early fleetside bed on it.

just because you say not hamb friendly build in the title does not allow you to post a non hamb friendly build. late model chassis swaps and LS engines are completely off topic here
