Technical 39 ford hinge pins install tips.

we're trying to install Drakes door hinge kit. Having a problem getting the pin head to go all the way in. anyone have any tips on getting the pin to seat?

 

I usually file the splines down some. Just enough to get them set without beating them in.
Chuck them up in the drill press and hit them with a file.

 

I'm going to suggest 4 hands, one set holding a heavy metal block held tight under the hinge, and a second set holding rod to act as a punch with a concave face (to prevent slipping) and a big hammer to hit from the top. That's if the hinges are on the car like mine are.
