Don't know if there was a thread specifically on their axles. If there was, it probably got deleted. There are several threads concerning most all their...stuff. Just search Hoffman Group.

Posted a thread some time ago when I got this axle in a trade at a swap meet. Didn't bother to take it out of the plastic bag until sometime later. My bad. Was probably a Hoffman. After posting these photos, the guys on here all agreed it would make a good wall hanger and little else. DSC00819.JPG DSC00818.JPG

You don't need to find a thread about them to make a decision not to use one. Don't use one. Don't use any of their stuff. Ever. Never. Period. There, all the info you need...;)

The only problem with that is he might clobber an innocent bystander or motorist when he loses control.

In a moment of maybe too many Bourbon and Waters late one night I bought what turned out to be a Hoffman group Helix MII "universal" front Crossmember and Control arms.
Although it is made out of some heavy steel The workmanship was horrible.
Sloppy welds and welds ground clear though to the seam.

The axles are cast and cast out of who know's what.

Thanks so far guys. The reason why I asked is here in France the Hot Rodders here are and might buy one of these off EBAY since they are cheap and appearance wise look good.Just trying to fore warn them.I happen to know Fred from Magnum (now retired) and Dave Enmark RIP( did machine work for Super Bell).Tho I retired here in France a few yrs ago my Hot Rodding days reach back into the early 1960's in So Cal.

Just a comment, but I’d the HAMB the only place that knows about the Hoffman Group? I mean I
Didn’t know until being here, but you’d think “word” has gotten out by now.
Well, like Nancy said, “just say no”

That's the only thing they are good at.......being slippery, deceptive and unscroupolis.
    And dangerous!

  21. It's amazing how many listings there are for those gypo axles on eBay by innumerable sellers. Just doesn't seem right. Hopefully most end up on "never finished" projects.

Have a coworker that just installed a mII kit on an Auburn. from one of the companies. I asked him about the welds and different parts in the kit. He said that the welds looked good. He had to narrow the cross member to fit the original frame, so he was able to take a good look at it. He seems to be happy with it. Only time will tell if it is good set of parts.
