Event Coverage 2022 Back to the Fifties

Discussion in 'The Hokey Ass Message Board' started by 63Biscuit, Jun 19, 2022.

  1. With the focus on traditional stuff around this place, I thought I'd offer some shots from the Back to the 50's show on film. Enjoy?

  10. 63Biscuit, you put up some great pics. I watched a video that someone put up and many of the cars were so poor that I would have been disappointed to have been there. Thank you!

The pic with my stupid mug in it was taken on Sunday Morning. A lot of folks from out of town use Sunday as a travel day so car and pedestrian traffic is normally way down.

Thanks for the pics. There's some really elegant, unusual and one off hot rods there. Very enjoyable pictorial tour.

Here is a nice custom that stood out to me
It took the man a long time and no nice cars were harmed in the build
Started as a 4-door flat top

It looks like @alchemy scored nearly all the early ford stuff at the swap meet. Sure the were a fer body panels and grills. A couple of project cars. Basically it seemed mostly smalls like a giant yard sale . By 11.30 the tarseal was getting too hot to walk comfortably

    Nice photos, Thanks for sharing.
PS: There is a great story that goes with that light green '36 Chevy pickup that is the last photo on post #27. Short story is the truck had belonged to his grandfather in Minnesota and the grandson was able to locate it 50 years later in Texas. He had kept the original key and fob as a keepsake when the truck was originally sold and the key still works.
