    Yeah. I just learned that the vet bill today for the dog checkup and shots to current was $480, to determine that there was nothing wrong with her.o_O I'm glad that they confirmed that one for us.

    Holy crap! I'm glad I don't have your vet. My spring bill is usually just over $200 and that includes shots, check up and flea and tick meds for 6 months

    That vet is laughing his ass off to the bank! Usually costs me less than a deuce for bloodwork flea & tick and heart worm meds. If he has been a bad boy recently I have them take his temperature too. The old fashioned way.

    It is a pretty cool car:cool:... just add a little pinstriping and maybe some trunk lettering..."This IS your father's Buick";)

  6. How about Dee Dee? Or more simply, D.D.? As in David Dunbar Buick.

    First off is it a boy or girl cat? That’s going to make a difference in what you name it.
    A buddy of mine named his cat C-Note. Because in the first hour he had it it cost him $100.00 for a litter box, litter, cat food, scratching post, treats toys and whatever else his wife could spend money on. Then came the vet bills.

  8. Just spent the price of a crate engine trying to get my best-bud cat healed up, and wound up losing him anyway. That's the price we pay for furry companions, but in my book they are worth it.
    Back to the Buick.... DON'T stripe it! DON'T overdo it.... It's a chair car! Be subtle, like your '56 and it will be killer! Be sure to drape a lap robe over the grab rope in the back seat, and put a cooler in the trunk, and you're set. Hang your elbow out the window and cruuuiiise!

    Having owned a 52 Buick super two-door hardtop (since 1975)...

    Until about 5 years ago.....

    Have to say it's all about the toothy 1950 grill.....

    It seems to me, that there is enough cool elements / parts, associated with that Buick, that there ought to be an obvious name for the cat, since the cat is an accessory that came with that car !

    dynaflash 8.jpg

    B = BLACK
    U = UNIQUE
    I = INDEPENDENT
    C = CAT
    K = KUSTOM, KEEPER, KAY, KITTEN,

    You get the idea, it will be interesting to find out what the name of this cat will be !

    That's a good looking car. Service, polish, drive.

    Great cruiser, not sure I'd do anything to it... Maybe some hubcaps, make sure the interior is very nice.

    My last animal related post... The vet just built a new office. Was our first visit back since they opened. Was also our last.;)

    Now I'm back to Buick talk.

  14. I need to get back to Buick talk as well. Been messing with the Edsel the last couple days since Silas is celebrating his 18th birthday today and wants to go to a cruise night to celebrate. :cool:

    Yay! It’s off and it runs!
    You got the same kind of grass I got! High!
    Was their ever any doubt about it being able to run? How about some under hood shots and interior shots?

  22. Nah...I knew it would start. :p I’ll try to get more pics tomorrow. After putting it up on the lift, this car is SOLID underneath!

    My childhood bud gifted me a '47 Ford Fordor. Because he didn't have room or inclination to do it up.
    (His '38 Ford biz coupe is completed now, and Zowie!)
    My 'new' '47 Fordor is astonishingly straight, (l.r. fender is dented & stretched, but easy fix) No rust. NONE!
    Too young for a Fordor... until wife reminded me. 80 this coming October.
    We have grandkids. 25 of 'em. They think I'm 'cool'.
    Hope they still think so with me in this black and skirted '47 "Ol' skool semi-custom tail dragger"!

    Before I forget:

    Why do the Buicks have port holes in hoods/fenders?

    They're for when DYNA FLOWS!

    When I read your first post I thought you were kind of cool! Then you cut loose with that lame joke and realized your just like the rest of us! Not nearly as cool as we think we are.

  27. First step to driving this thing was to get it in the shop so I can start checking everything out. After @SS327 shamed me into unloading it off the trailer, I was determined to get it drug in the shop and on the lift. Hopefully I can find some time soon to start going through it.
