The Deuce belongs to my friend Jerry K. I just asked him what the color is, it is a Mazda color. He is going to look at the can and confirm the exact color and let me know.

    Hello,
Nice artwork from the old days of cool comics. Today, here is the updated version of Archie's Phaeton... Archie and his dad built this Phaeton and now, the "Riverdale" adventures continue.

A little different than the original comic, but very cool for hot rod folks.

His close friends are saying good by to Archie, as he leaves for his different adventure in the series.

  13. There's something about cruisin' in a hot rod with 4, plus-r-minus, peeps that has a special logic to it.
I'll buy a ticket, just tell me where and when.

“By virtue of a 1909 Act of the General Assembly, the Agricultural and Industrial State Normal School was created, along with two other normal schools in the state of Tennessee, and began serving students on June 19, 1912. In 1922, the institution was raised to the status of a four-year teachers' college and was empowered to grant the bachelor's degree. The first degrees were granted in June 1924. During the same year, the institution became known as the Agricultural and Industrial State Normal College.”

“In 1927, "Normal" was dropped from the name of the college. The General Assembly of 1941 authorized the State Board of Education to upgrade substantially the educational program of the college, which included the establishment of graduate studies leading to the master's degree. Graduate curricula were first offered in several branches of teacher education. The first master's degree was awarded by the college in June 1944.”

    Hello,

From the area of the old Tennessee A&I near Nashville, my wife’s grandfather started his career. He was a cool old guy when I met him in 1967, prior to our wedding in 1968. By this time, they were living in Santa Ana where he was still working as a consultant. (Already having written several books.)

It was an honor to have my wife’s grandfather and her grandmother at our wedding. They were already getting on in age and enjoyed the wedding, but opted out of the reception, held later in the afternoon in Los Angeles.

He had a series of old cars starting with the Phaeton back in Nashville, TN. Currently, the old Tennessee A&I College is now called Tennessee State University. "Go West, Young Man" was the idea and as they came out West, the Phaetons turned into sedans for the So Cal climate in Santa Monica, then eventually, Santa Ana.
