A well detailed little hot rod! I'm 5'9" and my un-channeled T with only a 1" recessed firewall, is already a tight fit. I cant imagine trying to drive this car (and with no front brakes).
Perhaps racing midgets gives us a clue? A stock A is tight enough for me! What a great story & a beautiful car!
Such a rad hot rod. Does it still live in Kansas City? I don’t recall seeing it but there’s so many good ones in every nook and cranny it wouldn’t surprise me. thanks For the history lesson !
What a great story. I knew it was special when I saw pics of it at the Roundup from a few weeks ago. It was so nice I thought someone totally obsessed with period correctness had recently built it. Now I know the rest of the story. Thanks.
Beautiful & wish it was mine ( would never get my 6’2” 215 lbs inside) but I do see a little built in “bump steer”.
This is what a T roadster is supposed to look like, chrome, polish, paint, roll 'n pleats and the tires hanging out on both ends, WoW!
Sorry for reviving an old thread, but I came across a bunch of my old photos (misplaced in a move) and found this shot of the car at the spring, '78 instance of the Starbird/Farhner show in KC's old Municipal Auditorium. Hey, @Tom davison, who owned it back then? Note the California plates.
