I have old mono tube shocks. My 1926 model t has a drop axle. The shocks are rusted and all the markings are gone. I found the color blue indicating it’s maybe old Gabriel shock. The total length extended is 16 inches. The compressed is 9.5 inches. And center line to center line on mount is 12 inches mountings is two eyelets.
    Thanks

  4. You might take a shock over to your wire wheel and see if there are any numbers stamped into it.

  6. You didn't ask, but I would not be using a fender bracket to mount a shock.

Looks like the weld is cracking at the bottom going by the shiny spot. And about those jack stands ?

maybe those rusty nasty looking old shocks still work good?
maybe just clean them up and spray a little paint on them?
    (i’m guessing it’s not a show car.)
