Picked up an older nos copper radiator , thought it may fit my T to narrow for the shell . The # 226821 is the only I'd # on the rad ,anyone got an old walker book or I'd #s
The tabs highlighted are where the front hood hinge bracket fastens to the radiator through the grille shell on a ‘32, that was the tell for me.
Numbers on rad makes sense to be a serial # ,cant find anything relating to them , here are a few more pictures and measurments . I bought it from a guy who inherited his dad's unfinished T bucket . Too narrow for a T rad shell . I believe fodor's is right about it being a 32 rad ,and possibly shortened .
That rad looks an awful lot like the one on my car. It is a 4 1/2" chopped deuce rad which lines up real nice on a 26 - 27 T hiboy. Mine was made for a SBC but I switched the upper hose connection and rad filler tube locations; just like on yours. However, since your lower hose is on the other side, I would imagine that yours was made for a Ford engine.
Same rad Goldmountain !! Is set up for ford , Going to see if it will fit into my 33 chev rad shell , using a 401 buick and it is set up the same as ford ,lower hose on drivers side ,upper hose in the middle of engine , if not I will put it on the market !!!
Johnson's Hot Rod Shop has acquired Walker Radiators, so maybe if you phoned them they could look up the record of your serial number and provide the manufacturer specs. That is, if the records weren't discarded.
Thanks for the suggestion Beanscott . Quite sure it is shortened 32 ford rad with ford outlet locations , market at the end of the month , will likely bring it there and hopefully move it along
