Picked up this Offy intake for early olds but there are no numbers or anything to identify which motors it fits. I'm thinking 303-324 and maybe it was produced before the later engines were produced so no need to put numbers on it? Is there a port measurement or some other way to see what it fits?
    Thanks,Bob

  2. Bob, that would be 54-56 324 Olds port size.

You could verify what you think it fits with a set of intake gaskets, see if the port size is correct.

Thanks Walt, i was going to pm you about it. I figured you would know. Would it also work on a 303 (?)

  5. early heads are smaller chamber but they will work with the larger port intake but the ports won't match for flow purposes IIRC as it has been a while seen I have had an early Olds apart.

EBC7439C-F042-474E-91D0-89847B2F22D4.jpeg In my catalog. Part numbers are offy numbers. So there should be a number on intake to match catalog. Hope this helps

vtwhead is correct, it's for the 324
It will work on a a 303 block and heads but as said port size will not match.
The biggest difference will be the roof of the manifold port is higher, the floor of both head and manifold are close so there shouldn't be potential for serious puddling.

Thanks but the big problem is there are no numbers on the intake.

So i just got a message stating that it is 371 based on the measurement of the ports lengthways. Mine measures 12 1/8th inches and he said 324 measures 11 3/4.

If you are going to use it, you should consider re-drilling it and using 4 bolt carbs. I believe it would take small base 2GC's. We converted an SWBC manifold to them back when and it was a definite improvement. If it really is for a 371, the existing carbs are way too small.

Yes, 12-1/8" out to out makes it a 371.
And out to out of adjacent ports should be 2-7/8"

  12. Bet it weighs a lot less than a J2 OE manifold:rolleyes:

  13. Just for grins here is a new 324 gasket

The port size between 324 and 371 is close and that manifold has enough flange thickness to cut it down to fit the shorter 324 block.
