Great pics, thanks for sharing. Some unfortunate graffiti on that bridge spoiling what otherwise looked to be very nice scenery.

  2. No kidding on the graffiti. Apparently it happened the night before according to the neighbors. That bridge had been there since the early 1900’s and I ended up meeting the great grandson of the guy that donated the land for it to be built. He came down on a bicycle to let me know that the weight limit on the old bridge was only 5 tons. That is when I started directing traffic and not letting more than a couple cars cross at a time if I could help it. :D

It was a really neat bridge!

  4. I feel the same way. I like it. I don't know if the hood should have been sectioned, or if the hood is what makes it so cool. The hood looks like a pompadour, in a good way.

  13. Thanks for the compliments on the pics guys. It was my 17-year-old son that took them. I’ll pass on the compliments to him. :) He has become a pretty good photographer and enjoys doing it. This is him as seen sitting on a bridge to take the pics of the Hot Rod Hundred we had in Oklahoma last fall.

Wow, looks like a great event. What a fantastic group of cars, it must've been an awesome day, wish I could've been there. When is the group going to do a Hot Rod Hundred in So Cal? I'll help.

  19. Thanks and we have been talking about a California run for a while. I’m not sure what the latest is on that to be honest. We don’t have many club members out there and it is a long way for us midwest guys to help support it. There are 3 or 4 Crossmembers out there that have discussed doing one though.

Unless I have my wires crossed, that belongs to Mike Meeker, who is a local Hot Rod aficionado and one heck of a paint and body guy.

I was unable to attend, so I really appreciate the photos @guthriesmith ! I can tell by the photos that my hoodlum group was well represented. :D

  21. Yep, that is Meeker’s 32 “Dirty Girl”. It is way cool and was one of the featured cars on last years t-shirt artwork. And, yea, your buddies were all there and you were missed.

  23. Last years t-shirt artwork from B-Scott featuring Mike Meeker’s 32 known as “Dirty Girl”.

Oh, and this year’s artwork also from B-Scott featuring one of the cars that was on the run as well...Steve Rohlman’s Merc that was in a few pics.

  24. Yeah, the story behind the name "Dirty Girl" is that I had made the comment that his '32 has been had by more guys in SWMO than the "Dirty Girl" in high school. Thus, the name stuck.

Wanted to go this year but the wife has been in and out of the hospital three times since the end of December fighting a staph infection in her right leg.
