Saw this in a Youtube video, apparently just sold in an auction somewhere near Kansas/Nebraska. It's a flower car made from a Coupe Deville, not sure by who, but I love it! No idea what it sold for or who bought it, but I hope it went to a good place.

It ain't just Alabama. To most of the world a car that won't drive is just junk, like a lawn mower with the connecting rod sticking out the side of the engine.

  23. I agree. To most of the world, time marches on, progress is good, better living through chemistry, you name the slogan, it applies to most of the world. Conveyance, transportation, getting from point A to point B.... that's what the rest of the world views automobiles as . But to those of us involved in this hobby, who were born with a defect (old-iron-blood deficiency), old cars offer our own diversion from day-to-day life that most people don't understand (if you've got a significant other that "get's it" or tolerates it consider yourself lucky).
Unfortunately, along with the afore mentioned blood deficit, we are also prone to visions of grandeur, monetary irresponsibility, twisted senses of reality... the list goes on so long that even Freud would be overwhelmed.
But.... we are the original recyclers, so we can hold our heads high and bring the junk out of hiding!! Just think of the biohazards that hotrodders 50 years in the future will have to deal with! I sure hate to think of all those Tesla and Prius batteries, not to mention the plastic, decaying in the woods!!

20 years ago, that car was restored, and driving around the same town it died in. Ive been trying to purchase it for years, but the yard wanted crazy money, for a car they crushed, for less than the perfect windshield was worth. If its scrap, sell it for scrap price. Then it would have lived.
