Been patiently waiting for the news that TRJ was going to be back in action. The dang covid crap has taken way too many people and business's away. Cheering from the Buckeye State that Steve and the crew can make it happen again. Good Luck Steve and please keep us posted! Joe

I was one of the charter members and have been with Rodder's Journal ever since day one. I think the whole issue wasn't handled correctly from the start. It would have been nice for the editors at RJ to drop us a line, letting everyone know what was going on. They didn't, and everyone started speculating and starting unfounded rumors. I'm paid up for a couple of years, so a little communication would have answered a lot of questions. Until I get issue #85, it is still a rumor.

  7. I think that we could all use some good news right about now. Even if this is just a rumor, I am completely ready to believe it. Super stoked to hear that Steve is fighting hard to save his dream. I didn’t figure that he would let go of it that easy.

I am hoping it works out. I have every issue starting with #1 and up to and including #84. It’s been so long I am not sure when my subscription was to expire, I should have at least a few issues remaining. Maybe R.J. will inform their past subscribers of the expiration dates.

    Good news.
When the corporate titles went away and took our subscriptions with them, it didn’t surprise me. Bean counters do what they do.

But I had faith that Steve was one of us, and have been rooting for him to get this back on track. I’ll continue to do so.

  19. Well, a TRJ thread that hasn’t been shut down.
    Could be real then.
Hope the relaunch is handled better than the shut down.

good luck. Best photography in the biz.

I wish them all the best. Can't hate on someone for hitting a rough patch. They certainly didn't crawl under a rock and hide.

  21. Awesome news! They were kicked when they were on the canvas, now Steve & crew are getting things in order, shows a lot of character. I'm hoping things are smooth sailing from here on.

As a Life’r and someone who somehow has collected every issue plus some, I’m giddy with the thought of how this rebirth will probably be better than even I can imagine! Best thing I’ve heard in 3 years! Do I need a new tent out by my mailbox?

Read the great news. Then double checked today's date - it's February 22. Not April 1. So maybe. Hoping anyway (especially since I too ponied up for a lifetime subscription).

Great to hear from Steve. I first met Steve in the 70's when he was a young photographer. He shot a car of mine for a magazine feature. I always thought he had more character that to cut and run.

As someone who bought the lifetime sub, I will say this to some of the (deservedly) disappointed - We have all pissed (A LOT) more money away on CRAP than we (might) loose on the TRJ deal. Right? I don't think we were lied to or scammed, (I have been once), so let's just be glad this is turning around.

  28. I also have the all with the exception of # 83 & #84. HRP
