Is the show in a safe part of town? I've only been to Detroit once and it was to pick up 3 Dearborn Deuce bodies. Just in and out. That was 15 or more years ago.

 

Safe as milk, been there over 50 years.

 

Sometimes milk goes sour!

 

Pretty sure my brother @just Matt is likely planning on it.

Downtown Detroit is ok. You might have a panhandler ask for money. But the city is way different (better) than it was years ago. The last few years has seen a lot of people moving into the city, even raising families. Should be fine.

 

Haven't been there for 2 years. But I caught the pox, kicked its ass, and now I have antibodies to spare. I plan on being there, shaking hands, hugs, kisses, and face licks... like we used to.
So, no... no one is safe.

 

I will be downstairs at the real car show, hope to see you all then.

I'll be there pretty much all weekend. Car won't be in this show, as it was in the previous show, but it'll be back next year hopefully with some changes. I should also probably update the old build thread haha

It's nice that they changed this event to March. A little milder weather for getting there and maybe taking a walk to the Lafayette Coney Island when I get hungry. Who wants to join me? My treat. I would enjoy the company. Way better than a $5 pretzel.

Looks like I'll be there on Friday. Might be worth it to wait for Saturday and have a free coney with you. I just hate the crowd on Saturday.

 

Hit that Monroe Street Steakhouse in Greektown for a Filet Mignon and a glass of Cabernet.

 

I forgot how crowded it can get on Saturday. I've gone on Sunday by myself and it was pretty mellow. Got a chance for a moment with Ed Roth with nobody else around. The nice lady who was watching over the Pearson Brothers Coupe display let me come inside the rope for a closer look. Nobody else around.
I've been there on a Saturday.
Never on Friday.
Fewer people on Friday?

 

My budget is more tube steak than filet

 

Wont have my car in the show but our club TROG build plus some club cars will be.

My brother and I will be doing a Bonzi run up and back on Friday from NW Indiana. We hope to meet some of you in the basement and listen to the Tuistin' Tarntulas.
