Just got this '64
Older build no rust at all, couple small dents
Runs drives, 350 4 speed bench seat car, needs some love.

 

Man I LOVE this Car!

 

When the 64 ElCamino was introduced it filled that three year gap when GM changed from the big car platform to the intermediate Chevelle line for the ElCamino.

 

It took me a Loooooooong time to finally get a '59. But here it is. I did not put this together and have only changed the wheels it came with so far. Traded my '51 Merc for it (the Merc wouldn't haul my Surfboard) and man is this really settling in. Love these, and have forever. This one has a ways to go, but it'll get there.

Prefect.. Just a nice color without all the chrome and glitter that cover the cars beautiful body lines.

 

Here's my newly acquired '60. Doing some work on it now like adding the Torq Thrusts....

 

The jet fighter side trim on a '60 is so cool.

 

Other then the '60...a '64 is my next favorite. Gene.

 

I've been asked at car shows "how come there are Chevelle emblems on your El Camino?"

Had a '65 years ago. Had a lot of fun with it.
Have been looking for a 4 speed car for awhile. When this popped up. After seeing how solid it is, it was to good to pass on.
Am close to having the shop re-arranged to make room for the car.

Since ‘64’s seem to be making the cut…here’s my side project that’s on hold until the Roadster is done.
