Thank you Loudbang well done. Somewhere in my old Hot Rod mags 1960? I think. There is classified ad for the dragliner for sale here in San Diego, I think it belonged to Nick Nicalossi? of Nicalossi's Pizza. Not sure if it was same Nick from ingenuity in action or not.

Anyone know who owns the Drag master Golden Lancer? If it still exists...

I was privileged enough to know dode martin, and hang around his shop in his last years. What a great guy. A legend in the hot rod world.

  5. In 1970 I was stationed at Camp Pendleton and living on the beach in Carlsbad (converted garage) and did laundry across the street from the shop. One time Roland Leong saw me loading my '69 Charger and called me over to check it out. Chatted a few minutes before he had to go back in. Nice guy. I'd always glance in to see what was going on but it was dark looking in from the sunny outdoors and it always seemed busy and a little intimidating.

I have the 16" South Bend lathe that came out of Dragmasters. Here is a picture of it after I restored it. I've lived in Carlsbad for 27 years. I was good friends with Roland Leong, who at some time long ago used this lathe.
