    I wonder if the artist doing the lettering was looking at the paint job for inspiration?

  18. I borrowed a couple of these photos from some of the threads on the GNRS. I haven't seen it in person myself but it looks outstanding. This is not a tribute or clone. It's the original that Bob Panella got back from someone in Michigan. It had been updated into a prostreet looking streetrod and has now at great lengths been restored to its as raced configuration.

    Nice attention to detail, like the lip that was added on to the obviously radiused rear wheel well openings to make it look factory.

    Funny. The Panic Attack was in "Craigs List" (for sale) just weeks before his first outing at Irwindale Raceway. Now it's there for every event that he's allowed to race. Each event, the car seems to get a little faster too. The week after the last time it was in the paper for sale, it didn't run very well.
