Undoubtedly one of the more unusual creations to be Offy powered - the Kurtis Tommy Lee Special. Pictured here in period, it survives in a collection in Canada. I've worked on this car for 10 years now, although it hasn't been driven in 5. Originally built with a one-off tall deck 318 c.i. engine that cost $10,000 to build in 1937, it now has a much more common 270 c.i. Offy powering it. The 318 was lost for many years but has now been reunited with the car but sits quietly on an engine stand beside the car. 270241812_10227863642238796_8963947993589979101_n.jpg

1Z Euclid mining tractor with a Pennsylvania rr hard tire surface switcher. 1948 Colgate plant, Jersey City. The Euclid is there as a demo, to take the other one's job. It has dealer plates on it, and is from the 30's. These were used on docks and tight industrial areas. 106 1 3.jpg

A big unsung Hero back 85 years ago in 1936 in the garage area of the Indy 500 Speedway. Myron Stevens on the left was the Brains behind 3 time Indy Winner, Wilbur Shaw, he built some great winning Indy cars and a great chief. MyronStevensWilburShaw1936Indy_n.jpg

Is there a Beer named Shitfaced ? I wonder where that came from. In my part of the world, Wisconsin guy, to this day "Shitfaced" was/is the word. LOL. Love the HAMB, I learn so many things on here. Thank You and FYI Wisconsinites, we hold some records, Brandy consumption #1, OWI/DWI per capita #1, Beer consumption #1, I'm not much of a drinker, very odd for a Wisconsin guy. Weird/Odd, I prefer Unique. I believe we are world famous as Cheeseheads, Green Bay Packers, Beer and Brats.

Blitz Weinhard. I think they may still do a craft style and root beer now.

Weinhard started making beer in Portland in 1856, when the city itself was just five years old. Now the beer named after him, and brewed locally since 1976, has been discontinued by parent company Molson Coors.
