I think this my first post on the forum but I’ve been watching for quite some time. My project I’ve started working on now that I retired is a 31 highboy AV8. I got a 1938 3 speed Packard trans for it years ago and think I’ve got mounting it to the 8BA figured. What I need is a clutch disc for the packard. I can put it under the 10 inch Ford pressure plate but it needs packard splines. Any ideas for a builder. I don’t have a core.
    Thanks

Before computers, we looked in books. they tell you what you need by how many splines, and how big of a disk. The books, or the info must still be there, have you called FT Wayne clutch guys yet? Over on the barn, I told of the mating of a volvo trans to a datsun 240z, in the 80's my local parts store looked up my specs in a book and ordered me a stubebaker disk. Rite there at the store!! Try that today. But...its all on line, you just have to look

You responded to me on the barn. I read about you Volvo on the 240z. I’ll find the Fort Wayne clutch guys.

My suggestion for you is to use a Chev clutch plate - the spline is the same as the Packard.

Look in Hemmings for someone selling Packard parts.

    Thanks Stovebolt
    That’s what I’m finding. I measured spline dia It’s 1 1/8” and 10 spline. common at 10 1/2” diameter.
