I am looking at using three Stromberg 97 carbs on an Edelbrock 396 intake on a 303 Oldsmobile.
I will be using a progressive linkage where the center carb will be the primary and the end carbs will come in as secondaries.
Does the Stromberg 97 model #9510A carb come with a choke?
Do I need a choke on the center carb only or all three.
I see that Stromberg 97 model #9510A-C comes with a cable choke bracket.
I would appreciate any advice on choosing the right carburetors for my 3x2 setup.
    Thanks.

I run 3 97's on my flathead which I purchased from Clive in England. Center carb is choked, the other two are blocked open as I was experiencing an issue under heavy exceleration my blower was sucking the choke blades closed kicking the fast idle cam in and the result was a 2000 RPM idle after driving hard. Clive sent me a couple of detent pins that replace the ball catches on the chokes. The result is the forward and aft carbs look like they have chokes but they are inoperative.

I also run his progressive linkage and I used a choke bracket from Edmonds.

My advice is contact Clive, he sells a very good product and he backs them up with the best customer service from my experience.

One choke only needed. I’d install it on the primary. Hope you didn’t buy those Chinese carbs.

I talked to Clive at Stromberg and he said that they may have some castings in chrome ( which is what I wanted) coming in soon. He also said that they've been having trouble getting the chrome carb castings for a while. I had contacted Limeworks a while ago about ordering three of the chrome Stromberg carbs and they called me after I contacted Clive and said that they had three available so I ordered them.
Here they are installed on my Edelbrock intake on the 303 Olds.

I never considered using the Chinese versions of a Stromberg 97, these are the genuine reproduction of the originals. They appear to be well made and high quality with nice chrome.
I ordered the chrome linkage kit and the locking detent pins for the choke on the two outer carbs also.

Stromberg 97 carbs from Clive in England are the best available.
The Chinese versions are not even close.
If you do a little research you’ll find my experience with Clive and their unbelievable customer service that you certainly won’t get from someone selling the cheap Chinese ones.

Yeah I know, kinda silly. I wasn't sure how to describe them. I guess they are as close as you can get to the originals compared to the other knock-offs.

Awesome car Blue One. Nice detail color on the carbs.
I'll be using a manual choke setup like yours. What did you use for the choke cable?
I like the finish on the headers. What type of coating did you use on the headers?

The header coating is silver ceramic as is the intake manifold.
