The car is almost done getting buffed. One more round of polishing to go. We’ll get it back Monday to start putting it back together.
Psssssss...the sound of the body dropping 2 or 3"...I'm just envisioning every tactical move making it all come together... Yes, high fives to @DRD57 and the Paint Team...stunning workmanship indeed... Paint Jail...naaaaw more like a Paint Spa...the Ole Cars probably saying to itself looking in the mirror 'Oh Man am I HOT!! The Art of Custom is truly great to witness...Thanks to all involved in bringing this to our front row seats...
The roof and window lines are similar in character. When you see Cole's car, you think "That car is CHOPPED." I don't think that my roof will elicit the same reaction, though.
It's perfect. Personally, I don't like a heavy chop on a shoebox. A Merc? Yeah. But yours is just right.... Suits the line perfectly.
The car's at Sid Chavers' this week, getting its new headliner. Then back to Don's for glass, the remaining trim, and the interior re-installed. Not too much left to do!
I'm not sure, Bill. I've had my cars in the GNRS three times, and each time it's been such a hassle that I've said "never again". I'll wait 'til the car's finished to make the decision. Sorry, I assumed that you were talking about indoors; I definitely was. If I don't, I'll probably do the drive-in.
Is that piece of wood stock? Wondering if Ford was still using wood to attach headliner in the 1950s. Car looks fantastic. Bob
